How does the traffic alert feature work?
– The traffic alert feature will constantly monitor the traffic along your route during the time interval you specify. If the traffic is “worse” than usual, you will be alerted via a text message to your cell phone and/or via e-mail. You will be NOT be notified whenever there is a congestion, but only when the traffic patterns deviate from normal. For example, we all know there is severe congestion on Friday eveings. This is normal and you do not want to be alerted. However, if your Friday evening commute is significantly worse than usual you may want to be alerted.
