How Does the Trackit GPS Vehicle Tracking System Work?
BT Trackit uses the latest in tracking technology, combining wireless technology, advanced in-car electronics and satellite navigation to enable the fast recovery of stolen vehicles. BT Trackit is very easy to use, as when the ignition is switched on, your BT Trackit system searches for the unique identification tag. No further action is required by the driver and once you are identified as the authorised driver, the system is disarmed. Where the identification tag is not detected and unauthorised movement occurs, (e.g. if someone having stolen your keys attempts to start the ignition) BT Trackit immediately sends an alarm to the BT Secure Operation Centre(SOC) and contacts you, so that you can action the recovery process. The SOC then uses Global Positioning Technology to locate and track the exact position of your vehicle to within a few feet.
