How does the Three Day Right to Cancel Work?
WRITTEN NOTICE To take advantage of West Virginia’s three-day rule, you must give written notice to the seller by midnight of the third business day after the day you signed the paperwork. You can give notice of the cancellation at the place of business set froth in the paperwork or by mailing your notice to the seller. Notice is effective by mail when it is deposited in a mailbox with the proper address and postage. Usning certified mail, return receipt requeste, is not nedessary, but, will let you know the letter was received. We suggest sending notice both ways; 1) first class mail and 2) certified mail, return receipt requested. W. Va. Code § 46A-2-132.
