How does the Tegrity Podcasting System work?
Once a classroom session is uploaded to the Tegrity server, it posts a link to the mp3 in the course page of your CMS. If enhanced podcasting is turned on for your Tegrity Server, a data package is sent to the Tegrity Enhanced Podcast Generator Service (EPGS). The EPGS processes the data and returns the enhanced m4b podcast to your Tegrity server, which hosts the file and creates an additional enhanced podcast link in your CMS. When a student clicks on the podcast link in their class page, it opens the local iTunes application and subscribes the student to the course podcast. Students can view the podcast within iTunes and sync with their iPod or any other compatible player.
