How does the TeenSafer™ software get installed on my teen’s phone?
After you have registered, an email will be sent to your son/daughter’s phone. The email will contain a download link that should be opened on the phone (and not on a computer). Your son or daughter simply clicks on the download link and follows the prompts to download and install TeenSafer™ software. If you’re not familiar with the BlackBerry installation process, here’s what to expect (though different phones may be slightly different): • 1. Open the registration email from ZoomSafer • 2. Click the link, which will open the phone’s mobile browser • 3. Click “Download” – a progress bar will show the app downloading • 4. Select “Yes” when asked to grant “Trusted Application” status • 5. Click “View” to see required Permissions changes • 6. Click the Back button, then select “Save” to confirm Permissions changes • 7. A different progress bar will appear with the message “Completing Installation”. Once installed a message will be sent to you that the TeenSafer™ software was installed.
