How does the Teen Safe Driver Program work?
A. American Family customers who agree to participate in the Teen Safe Driver Program can register for the program at www.teensafedriver.com/enroll.htm. DriveCam ships participants a camera that records sights and sounds, inside and outside their vehicles. Selected installation locations install the cameras in customer vehicles at no charge. Installation typically takes 30 minutes. Once installed, the in-vehicle video and audio camera only captures risky driving behaviors such as swerving, hard braking, sudden acceleration, and collisions and sends clips wirelessly to DriveCam’s Analysis Center. Trained risky driving analysts review and assign each risky behavior a risk score. DriveCam prepares a report for each teen driver that is sent electronically to parents for review online. In addition to the video and audio event footage, these reports include objective, third-party assessment of the teen driver’s driving performance compared with the average performance of other teenage driver
