How does the technology work technically?
Softkinetic’s patent pending technology, iisu ™, filters out the signal’s noise, recognizes and classifies the various elements in the scene (main user, other users, furniture, walls, etc.), and presents the developer with a simplified, organized view of the scene. It also identifies and tracks the movements of the user’s body parts. In full-body configuration, e.g. for building full-body immersive applica¬tions such as sport or action gameplays, this includes the head, hands, legs, torso, center of mass, etc. In other situations, e.g. for mouse-less PC applications or home media center navigation, iisu tracks upper-body parts such as hands and fingers. The proprietary platform allows it to accurately capture and analyze human movements. The technology is then given to the developer, using a software development kit (SDK) that allows developers to create the immersive and intrinsic experiences. The technology is currently available for the PC platform and is built with C and C++. It ca
