How does the teaching method in Canada vary from what we are used to here in Bangladesh & India?
Besides the usual undergraduate and postgraduate programs, Canadian universities offer a wide selection of ‘Study Abroad’ programmes involving credit transfer arrangements with overseas universities and colleges. The studies are very intensive. The classroom sizes are comparatively very small so that each student gets individual attention from the teachers. Classroom teaching may be much less formal than you are used to here in Bangladesh & India. There is more of a practical approach in the studies rather than theoretical. The Canadian education is very much geared to the commercial world and the colleges maintain a close link with industry thus making them of great relevance to all students. The Canadian Institutions provide many training/internship programs to give the students that extra edge over others to get a hands-on experience of the practical work environment.
