Properties with delinquent taxes of 3 1/2 years are eligible to be sold at a public auction to the highest bidder. A sale date will be determined at least 30 days prior to any sale. There are usually three sales each year; the sale dates and listings of properties to be sold will be published in a daily newspaper designated by Sedgwick County. Currently, that publication is the The Wichita Eagle. Listings will also be available in the Treasurer’s Office after publication.
