How does the TAKS measure student performance?

0

TAKS has three categories for student performance: Commended Performance, Met the Standard, and Did Not Meet the Standard. “Commended Performance” means that a student performed at a level that was considerably above the state passing standard and showed a thorough understanding of the knowledge and skills tested. “Met the Standard” means that a student performed at or somewhat above the state passing standard and showed a sufficient understanding of the knowledge and skills tested. “Did Not Meet the Standard” means that a student performed at a level that was below the state passing standard and did not show a sufficient understanding of the knowledge and skills tested.
