How does the Syneron intense pulsed light (IPL) and laser equipment differ from the other widely-available cosmetic lasers?
The Syneron Aurora IPL and the Polaris laser use two complimentary energy sources. The pulse from Aurora is a combination IPL and radiofrequency (RF) energies and the Polaris produces laser and RF energies. These machines produce their intended effects on the targets in the skin at lower light (laser) levels than the other available technologies. Lower light energy means more protection for the normal surrounding skin. Cooling of the skin also adds another level of protection. The combination of energies also allows treatment of all skin types.
