Bell Sympatico works with Brightmail Inc. to identify and stem the flow of known senders of spam email, and devise rules to catch email considered spam before it reaches your email address. The continuously staffed Brightmail Logistics and Operations Center (BLOC) analyzes each detected instance of mass emailing, and rapidly deploys countermeasures to their customer networks. Their analysis is turned into “software rules” that automatically tags suspected spam. As soon as they detect new spam they write a new rule to block that spam and redirect matching messages from reaching your Sympatico mailbox.
