How does the suspension make the truck brake so well?

The Talon design uses a torque arm design fixed directly to the axle. This design prevents the axle from winding-up or deflecting under the torque load during acceleration or deceleration. In a leaf spring design, the torque actually causes the rear to drop during acceleration and rise during braking. In our design, the torque causes the opposite to occur. During braking, the normal weight shift onto the front suspension occurs simultaneously with the rear-end squatting from the torque reaction. The net effect is the whole truck “hugs” the ground.
