How does the sun provide energy?

0

The energy source of the sun is Nuclear Fusion. The sun is composed mostly of hydrogen, but it is so large the hydrogen gets compressed to extreme temperatures and pressures due to gravity. This is hot enough to start a Nucleur fusion reaction where the sun fuses hydrogen atoms into a helium atoms (and a few heavier elements) giving off an enormous amount of energy in the process (E=MC^2). The resulting heat and light radiates out through the Solar system and warms the Earth. So the Sun’s Energy is created with Nuclear Fusion and that energy makes it to earth via radiation.
