How does the sun look during solar eclipse?
the main disc of the sun is blocked from the observers view and the outer “halo” or corona of the sun stretches out around from behind the moon’s image in the sky and so there is a thin bright ring around the moon which appears black during an eclipse because it is showing us its dark side whenever it passes between the sun and earth so basically you got a kind an eye of sauron thing going in the sky!
