How does the stimulation system work?
After the surgery the doctor uses a small computer(programmer)to send instructions to your pulse generator. These instructions control your therapy. A programming head is connected to the computer. When the programming head is placed over your implanted pulse generator, it sends instructions from the computer to the pulse generator where they will be stored. If needed doctor can use the programmer or another smaller hand held device, a therapy controller to change the instructions.You may have been given a control magnet or a therapy controller to use with the system. These devices allow you to turn the pulse generator on and off.
