How does the Sterile Supply Technician program at VIU compare to other similar programs?
We have worked closely with Vancouver Community College to ensure that the program we offer on Vancouver Island is the same as that offered through their institution. Our program has prerequisites (Medical Terminology & Interpersonal Skills), and you may notice that other programs offered have these prerequisites included in their program, making their program longer in duration. We are confident that the program we offer meets the needs of Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) because we work closely with staff members who manage sterile supply departments.
