How does the special event ticket deal work for organisers?
Event organisers can apply to provide event ticket holders with unlimited travel on Melbourne’s trains, trams and buses on the day that their event ticket is valid. Public transport costs can either be incorporated into the overall ticket price or covered by the event organiser. The application is submitted to the Department of Transport for approval by the Director of Public Transport. It is up to event organisers to make an application.
