How does the Society compensate foster parents?

Foster parents receive a monthly check to help cover the cost of the child’s care and sustenance and receive a per diem for each child. A monthly allowance is also provided for clothing and other needs such as recreation costs. As foster parents do not receive a salary, they are not required to pay tax on the compensation they receive to foster.
