How does the slump of concrete affect by steel fibres?
Addition of steel fibres, especially at higher concentration shall inevitably result in slump loss. It is generally recommended that the base slump of concrete without fibre is 25 to 50mm higher than the final desired target. Vibration by means of automatic propeller or others is a must during concreting; 1% to 2% plasticizer (relative to cement mass) is also recommended to improve workability.
