How does the show interpret the legends surrounding vampires and werewolves?
Do you have supernatural powers? They’re there – but it seems insignificant because it’s more about three people struggling with life. The whole point is that it seems like it could be real and domestic – these people could live just down the road. It’s so accesible, it doesn’t alienate people who aren’t into sci fi. We’re set to meet two new characters – Gilbert and Tully. What can you tell us about them? I meet another werewolf, Annie meets another ghost, Mitchell already knows a load of Vampires so it’s about facing your own demons. And realising that there are other people that are the same as you… Does meeting another werewolf bring comfort for George? No! You’d think it would but it’s not something he’s proud of. He was so happy before he became a werewolf – he was going to get married, he was going to be a doctor and it’s a constant battle for him.
