How does the ShopBot Tool differ from a $20,000 CNC router?
A ShopBot can do all of the things a more expensive CNC machines can do. The primary difference is that the positioning speed may be somewhat slower (ShopBot positions at up to 200 inches/minute) and cutting precision slightly less (a positioning accuracy of about .002″ in no load situations, but about .015″ in heavy cutting). ShopBot is fully 3-D capable and has an easy-to-use interface that will cut ShopBot Part Files and many other formats, including standard G-code files. Of course, you can have half-a-dozen ShopBots on the floor for the cost of a competitive tool.
