How does the SF424 form differ from the PHS398 form?
The SF424 form is for electronic submissions only and is for grant applications to any federal agency listed at www.grants.gov. U.S. Public Health Service agencies include NIH, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The SF424 application guide contains instructions and other useful information for preparing grant applications to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other Public Health Service (PHS) agencies for PHS Research Grants. This application guide is used as a companion document to a new set of application forms, the SF424 Research and Related (R&R).
