How does the second-year placement process differ from that of the first-year?

0

The second-year placement process is very complex, involving approximately 100 students and over 300 agencies. Therefore, a standard timetable and procedure are necessary in order to avoid confusion. Early in the Spring semester, agencies offering placements the following year will receive a placement timetable and, possibly, a request for updated placement information. Later in the spring, first-year students select two placements at which to interview, based on the written information agencies provide. The intent of the interview is to match the student’s interests and learning goals to the placement opportunities. Because students have a limited amount of time in which to complete their interviews, multiple interviews by the same agency create a hardship. Should special circumstances require more than one interview, the training coordinator or field instructor should discuss the situation with the field consultant. Students must complete all interviews within the School’s interview
