How does the room assignment process work?
All first year students coming directly from high school and who submit a complete application (including a deposit) by the deadline are guaranteed a bed in residence. Rooms in Alumni and Cartier will be assigned to first year students based on their GPA at the time of room assignment, which we receive from the Registrar’s Office. Those students with the highest average are assigned based on their first choice hall preference, we continue to fill with student’s first choice preference while space is available then assign by the second choice hall preference and finally, if needed, by the third choice hall preference.
