HOW DOES THE RIGblaster CONTROL PTT?
The nomic uses an optoisolator to control the PTT of a solid state radio. The other RIGblasters uses an relay contacts to keys PTT, even tube rigs should work. The microphone PTT button also controls the relays. Most software is able to control PTT via the serial port’s DTR or RTS lines. You will have automatic PTT control and automatic audio switching. When the RIGblaster is set up to use VOX your radio’s VOX circuit will control transmit.
