How does the revision of the Eurovignette Directive proposed in this package contribute to fighting climate change ?
The proposed revision would allow member states to levy tolls based not only on infrastructure costs, but also on congestion and pollution. This will widen the tool box at member states’ disposal to reduce congestion, fuel consumption and emissions of CO2.
