basically i have a honda civic 1.3 marlin and i want to put the dash cluster with the rev counter in it so im after finding out were the counter gets its info from, any help would be grand thank you ok thank you very much, gotta find a cluster to fit it then i will start, if the dizzy dont have it i will force it lol thanks guys A: There is a sensor that reads engine speed. You shouldn’t have to mess with your distributor. If you have a gauge cluster with no tachometer (RMP gauge) and you replace it with a gauge cluster that does have one it will work right away. You don’t need to modify anything just plug everything in to the back of the cluster.
