How does the repurposing of Kent Junior High (Mill Creek Middle School) fit into KSDs plan?
As the oldest operating school in KSD, major improvements were necessary at the former Kent Junior High site. A total of 19 projects such as fire alarms, plumbing, and flooring were scheduled as part of the 2002 bond. Due to the significant construction required, the school was closed for the 2004-05 school year. Once construction is finished in August 2005, Mill Creek Middle School will open on the site, with remodeled facilities and new instructional programs.
