How does the release of funds process work? How is the host site notified of approved funding?
HCR allocates (releases) funds to the division offices in March. The FHWA division offices will notify the designated State transportation agency (STA) personnel once funding has been allocated into the Fiscal Management Information System. The STAs will contact the host site(s) after they receive notification of award. In addition, the host sites can contact their STA for information.
