How does the relationship between Moses and his brother Aaron illustrate the key meaning of the word prophet?
Aaron was Moses spokesman since Moses alibi when called by God to be His prophet that he could not speak so well. So Aaron spoke instead of him. Aaron was also considered as a prophet of God. But in position Moses was higher than his brother Aaron. For God dealt directly with Moses. So when Aaron and Miriam spoke bad against Moses God sent leprosy upon them. Aaron was healed but Miriam was leprous until her death. So every person called by God to speak in behalf of Him is sacred and holy as God considered him to be. Anyone who speaks against His higher authorities will suffer the consequences from Him. Deuteronomy 24:8-9 In case of leprous diseases be very careful to do exactly as the priests, who are Levites, instruct you. You must follow carefully what I have commanded them. Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam along the way after you came out of Egypt.
