How does the reimbursement/voucher system of the Lowell Public Schools apply to this program?
Participants in the Lowell program follow the two course reimbursement regulations of the UTL contract. Teachers will not need to request reimbursement since Lowell Public Schools will send the reimbursement amount directly to UML. Those taking the course for university credit will pay only the extra cost required by UML for credit (for the 2002-2003 school year this cost is $150 for Massachusetts residents and $300 for out-of-state residents. Fees are set annually by the University). The Professional Development reimbursement from Lowell Public Schools will be subtracted from each participant’s yearly allocation. If the yearly allocation has already been used the entire cost will need to be paid by the participant.
