How does the reduction affect my entitlement to PAYG instalment credits?
When an income tax assessment is made for an income year you are entitled to a credit equal to your total PAYG instalments payable for that income year. For the 2008–09 income year, your PAYG instalment for the December 2008 quarter has been reduced by 20%. You will only be entitled to a credit equal to the total of the December 2008 reduced instalment amount and the other PAYG instalments payable for the 2008–09 income year.
