The function runs through the following steps : 1 ) A batch of images is selected using the selection tool 2 ) The first imge of the series is loaded and stars are modelled, and then for each of the remaining images : 3 ) Images are loaded and modelled, and stars positions are registered to the reference image 4 ) A linear regression (least squares) function is called in to calculate the transformation function parameters and its uncertainties 5 ) If uncertainties calculated before are lower than what s specified by the user in the Config/PreProcessing window, then the image is realigned and saved with the rec_ prefix prepended to its name.
