How does the rating system work?

0

The rating system is a tool used by LabX buyers and sellers to evaluate transactions completed during LabAuction sales. Ratings indicate valuable feedback for the LabX community that can provide insight into dealing with unknown buyers or sellers. Rating evaluations are based on various criteria ranging from: delivery time, packaging, courtesy, as well as overall willingness to repeat business again. The rating scale permits these criteria to be evaluated on a 0 to 5 scale (5 being an excellent experience). The average of all ratings creates the “overall” rating for that buyer or seller. A Seller’s rating is displayed with their ads, while a buyer’s rating is available by clicking on the “handle/user name” of an active bidder in the “Bid History” box.

Our rating system is designed to bring attention to the most interesting data sets and most insightful visualizations — and to alert you to potential problems, as well. Any registered user can give a data set or visualization a positive or negative rating.

You already get a 100 points for beating an opponent who is 200 points ahead though. • Beating lower ranked opponents gets you less than 60 points of course. If they were 200 points below you you only gain 20 points, if they were 300 points below you only 10 points, and if they were 400 points below you get a mere 5 points. • The number of points you can win and the number of points you c
