How does the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) work?
The antenna, mounted on the lifter of the waste collection vehicle, sends a low frequency radio signal, which gives energy to the transponder tag. Each bin has a transponder that has a unique code. When a transponder is placed inside the antenna’s reading area the transponder’s code is read and transferred to the computer as an identification of the customer and bin.
