Reply: If you have a group insurance plan, then you do not have to pay this additional tax. Otherwise, there is a charge of up to $375 per year, depending on your income, charged on page 4 of the Quebec tax return. If you are paying the charge on your tax return, you should also ensure that you are registered in the records of the Health Insurance Board. You may verify this with your pharmacist. Otherwise, you may be paying the tax and not receiving the corresponding benefit.
