How does the qualifying product for CPS membership work?
To qualify for each level of CPS Photo membership you must be in ownership of certain Canon products. In addition each product has a qualifying limit, for example you need two bodies and three lenses to qualify for both Silver and Gold membership. However, owning an EOS 5D Mark II and an EOS 60D, along with three pro lenses, will only qualify you for Silver membership as the EOS 60D has an upper limit of Silver qualification. The EOS 5D Mark II qualifies for Platinum membership so it can be used in a combination of three bodies and four lenses to achieve the highest membership available. For a full list of qualifying equipment please visit the ‘View qualifying products’ link here. CPS Video membership requires ownership of just one Pro Video product. It should be noted that only video products purchased within the Europe can be registered for CPS.
