VERY EASILY! You punch a small hole in the jar lid (punch is provided). Then you apply a small flat adhesive-backed check-valve, called a Tab-Chek, over the hole. Set the Pump-N-Seal on the lid, over the Tab-Chek and pump several times, then remove the Pump-N-Seal. The jar remains permanently vacuum sealed until reopened.
