How does the pull back strap work?

The pull strap is attached at the back edge of the cover (underneath in the center). You use this strap to control the speed at which the cover is retracted into the canister and for pulling the cover towards the tailgate to close the cover. In the case of closing the cover, you simply pull the strap from any position (and it will close). The cover cannot “bind up” or run off its tracks, regardless of what angle you pull the strap or what side of the truck you’re on.
