How does the PSP hardware compare to the PS2?
WALL: The PSP and PS2 are quite different in design and architecture but both are very appropriate for their intended purposes. PS2 gives us the power and capacity for great games at home on your TV. PSP is able to deliver a high quality experience in a package small enough to take wherever you go. We are particularly impressed with the quality of the LCD screen and look forward to utilizing the Wi-Fi (802.11b) capabilities in new game modes. QUESTION: Where would you place the PSP on the spectrum of hardware? WALL: Although the PSP CPU power is less than the current generation living room console, we are able to achieve visuals that are on par with second or third generation PS2 titles.
