How does the proposal process work?
There are three stages in the competitive application process: (1) all applicants submit a brief proposal that describes the project; (2) invited applicants are then asked to submit a full proposal and line-item budget for a grant; and (3) 15 prospective finalists are selected to participate in site visits to inform the final selection process. The brief proposal consists of a narrative no more than four pages in length, plus a preliminary budget of no more than one page in length. Applicants invited to submit full proposals will be provided requirements by April 7, 2010. All proposals must be submitted through the RWJF Grantmaking Online system, which contains specific instructions regarding application materials and the process for submitting a proposal. It is available at grantmaking.rwjf.org/cche2.
