How does the program address issues like fights, gangs, and drugs?
CPI has developed specific intervention techniques for approaching and intervening in fights that are taught during our programs and through other training resources. In addition, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training gives you a framework to assess any violent situation and choose the safest possible intervention strategy. Q: Can CPI’s program provide any measure of safety for staff? A: No training program can promise to prevent injury from assaults. However, CPI’s program helps minimize the risks because it focuses on verbal de-escalation techniques. Q: We don’t have the problems of urban facilities. Why do we need training?
