How does the probe respond to high soil moisture content?

0

Near saturation, the probes appear to lose some resolution. However, they should still be able to differentiate between different moisture contents even at these high water contents. It is very difficult to evaluate the output of the probes near saturation because the water either runs to the bottom of the container in sand, or causes soil clumps in clay (creating air gaps next to the probe). We recommend testing the ECHO probe in your application to determine if it works.
