How does the Portal work with ER/Studio?
The Portal is directly integrated with ER/Studio Enterprise and ER/Studio XE, which includes ER/Studio Repository , a server-based model management system. When users run a query in the Portal, data is selected from the ER/Studio Repository and transferred to the reporting database for end-user access. The separate reporting database synchronizes with the ER/Studio Repository through an ETL process and can automatically be scheduled as needed. These two products work hand in hand. ER/Studio Repository is required to use the Portal.
