How does the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette makes changes at top?
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says Diana Block is stepping down as co-publisher and president and Chris Chamberlain has been promoted to president and will lead daily operations. The paper says Block wants to spend more time with her two young children. She’ll continue to serve on the paper’s executive committee and on the boards of Block Communications Inc. and its subsidiaries. Also, John Robinson Block has been named the paper’s chairman and will retain his roles as editor in chief and publisher. He’s also publisher of The Toledo Blade. Diana Block joined the paper in 1998 as a reporter. Chamberlain joined the paper in 2008 as general manager and executive vice president. The changes should be completed by Aug. 1.
