How does the PIRIT Heated Hose compare to other heated hoses on the market today?
We know of few competitors in the heated hose business. One company produces a heated hose that is made of rubber and has the heating element running down the middle of the hose where it comes in contact with the water. That hose is not drinking water safe for those reasons. The PIRIT Heated Hose is made of food-grade PVC and its heating element is built into the wall of the hose so it does not come in contact with the water flowing through it. The PIRIT Heated Hose is drinking water safe. Further, on a per-foot basis, the PIRIT Heated Hose costs the same or less. There are also competing heated hoses on the market that are custom made. These made-to-order hoses are several times more expensive than the PIRIT Heated Hose. In addition, those custom made hoses are not certified to UL or CSA safety standards for outdoor electronic appliances.
