HOW DOES THE PIN SYSTEM WORK?
By Fall of 2002 most of Hamlines public computer labs will be under the new PIN system. The exceptions are the Robbins Science computer lab (Room 204) and Room12 of the Law/Grad building. When a student wishes to print, they prepare their document as usual and after clicking the print icon in whichever program they are using, a small dialogue box will appear asking them to insert their PIN number. They can then send a print job to the printer that has been selected by simply typing in their unique printing PIN number and pressing ENTER. Your print job will be sent and automatically printed to the printer (Note: You do not have to release the print job at the printer as in previous years). The charge for the printing will automatically be billed to your student account at 7 cents per page.
