How does the Picomotor operate in extreme temperatures (high and low)?
The Picomotor can function between 10 to 80 °C. At lower temperatures, the viscosity of the lubricant will increase which will significantly slow the Picomotor. If you need to operate at low temperatures, we can remove the lubricant. This will allow operations down to about -40 °C, but there will be a roughly 10% speed reduction. At higher temperatures, the piezo will become depoled and the motor will become very inefficient.
