How does the Oxi White Smile treatment work?
A. There are two types of teeth stains. Those stains that are on the surface of the teeth and stains that are on the inside of the teeth and show through the enamel as discoloration. While whitening toothpastes and chewing gums may be effective for removing surface stains, they are not designed to work inside the tooth to remove the darker, more challenging interior stains. OxiWhite Smile’s advanced gel is the most effective material for removing the internal stains. The whitening solution is applied so that it is in contact with the front of the teeth. The chemical components of the water based solution, activated by the light technology, gently diffuse and penetrate into the pores and through the enamel and dentine of the teeth, removing the discoloration through oxidation. The system is safe as there is no harmful effect on the structure of the teeth, including the enamel.
